Safe Places is the name of our Court Ordered Supervised Visitation Program at Shalom.
Safe Places is designed
...
to provide a safe, neutral, peaceful, and supportive place
for children to connect with their residential and non-residential
parents and to meet the necessary requirements of court ordered
Supervised Visitation in our communities.
Our Vision for Safe Places is:
To attend to the
relational, emotional and communication needs of children and parents
of divided families in the context of Court ordered Supervised
Visitation.
To reduce the anxiety, and trauma to children of families in crisis.
To de-escalate tensions that exist between residential and non-residential parents.
To empower children,
adults, and our communities with healthier communication and relational
skills thereby creating communities of peace and justice
